I called this collection Boxed Magic because these pieces have that beautiful sense of containing something powerful within a defined shape. The square form feels steady and structured, almost like a frame, but inside that frame is Labradorite, which never behaves like something that can be fully contained.

That is what I love about it.

Labradorite has this wonderful way of looking dark and quiet at first, and then suddenly the light shifts and something extraordinary appears. A flash of blue. A shimmer beneath the surface. A little reminder that not everything precious announces itself immediately.

The scrollwork was added to bring softness to the strength of the shape. It gives the pendant a more feminine, flowing feeling, as though the magic inside the stone is beginning to move outward.

About the Design

This pendant is part of the Boxed Magic collection and has been designed in-house by Jennifer for Enchantress Designs.

Every gemstone used in Enchantress Designs is chosen with intent. I choose stones not only because they are beautiful, but because of the feeling they bring, the symbolism they carry and the story they help create in the finished design.

For this piece, the dark blue Labradorite was chosen for its depth, natural patterning and shifting light. The sterling silver setting gives the pendant a clean frame, while the scroll detail and scroll bail bring that softer Enchantress character to the design.

Because this piece includes fine sterling silver scrollwork, it does need to be worn and handled with extra care.

A Gentle Note

Labradorite is naturally unique, and each stone carries its own internal lines, colour shifts, inclusions and flashes of light. The blue tones may appear stronger or softer depending on the angle and lighting, which is part of Labradorite’s natural beauty.

This pendant also features delicate sterling silver scrollwork. The scroll detail is part of what makes the design special, but it should not be pulled, bent, pressed or caught.

Care Instructions

Please take extra care when putting this pendant on, taking it off and wearing it. Hold the pendant by the stronger parts of the setting or bail rather than pulling on the scrollwork. Avoid catching the silver detail on clothing, scarves, lace, loose knits, towels, hair or other jewellery, as pulling may bend or damage the scrollwork.

Keep away from harsh chemicals, perfume, hairspray, chlorine and prolonged moisture. Apply perfume and lotions before putting your jewellery on, and allow them to dry first.

After wearing, gently wipe the Labradorite and sterling silver with a soft dry cloth. Do not rub forcefully around the scroll detail. Store separately in a soft pouch or jewellery box where the pendant will not be pressed, tangled or caught against other pieces.
