What Makes Dream Amethyst Different?

Dream Amethyst gets its distinctive appearance from alternating areas of purple Amethyst and lighter Quartz growth.

Care & Handling

Dream Amethyst is part of the Quartz family and has a Mohs hardness of approximately 7, making it reasonably durable for normal handling.

• Clean gently with lukewarm water and a fragrance-free soap made with naturally occurring surfactants.
• Dry thoroughly with a soft microfibre cloth.
• Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach and abrasive cleaning products.
• Avoid ultrasonic or steam cleaning where prominent internal fractures are present.
• Protect from hard knocks and drops onto tiles, stone or concrete.
• Store separately from harder gemstones where practical to preserve the polish.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to very strong direct sunlight, as Amethyst colour can fade over time with excessive exposure.
