A First Glimpse

Moonlit Goddess is one of those pieces that feels luminous before it feels showy. It has presence, absolutely, but it is not loud or hard. It has that soft, glowing quality that Rainbow Moonstone does so beautifully — with milky whites, silvery greys and those little flashes of blue light that appear when the stone catches the right angle.

There are thirty-four Rainbow Moonstone cabochons in this necklace, each one with its own natural character and quiet glow. The stones are set in a lightweight sterling silver setting, so even though this is very much a statement piece, it still feels graceful and wearable rather than heavy or overwhelming.

The mixed shapes — ovals, drops and rectangles — give the necklace a gathered, almost moonlit feeling, as though little pieces of light have been brought together and arranged around the heart.

The Story Behind This Piece

When I designed Moonlit Goddess, I wanted it to feel like a reminder of the feminine in its most natural and powerful form.

Not the polished, perfect version of femininity that the world sometimes tries to sell us, but the real kind. The kind that creates, feels, nurtures, imagines, protects, begins again, and somehow keeps glowing even when life has been anything but simple.

Rainbow Moonstone felt like the right stone for that feeling. It is soft and luminous, but there is depth in it too. At first it can look quite gentle, almost cloud-like, and then suddenly that blue flash appears from within the stone. Many women carry their strength in a similar way — it is not always obvious at first glance. It does not always announce itself. Sometimes it is quiet, intuitive, patient and deeply powerful.

This piece was designed to remind the wearer of the Goddess within. That irrepressible inner light. The feminine power of creation held with gentleness, intuition and grace.

Meaning & Symbolism

About the Design

This piece has been designed in-house by Jennifer as part of the Enchantress Designs jewellery collection.

Every gemstone is chosen with intent — not only because it is beautiful, but for the feeling it brings, the symbolism it holds, and the story it helps create in the finished piece. The Rainbow Moonstones were chosen for their soft glow, natural variation and gentle blue flash. The mix of oval, drop and rectangle-shaped cabochons gives the necklace movement and depth, while the sterling silver setting keeps the piece elegant and refined.

A Gentle Note

Rainbow Moonstone is naturally unique, so each stone will have its own glow, tone, internal veils, inclusions and flashes of light. Some stones may show stronger blue flash than others, and the effect will change depending on the angle and lighting. That is part of the beauty of Moonstone — it is never flat or predictable. It has movement, softness and mystery, just as natural gemstones should.

Care Instructions

Rainbow Moonstone is beautiful, but it should be treated with care. Avoid dropping or knocking the necklace against hard surfaces, as Moonstone can be damaged if handled roughly.

Keep it away from harsh chemicals, perfume, hairspray, chlorine and prolonged moisture. Apply perfume and lotions before putting your jewellery on, and allow them to dry first.

After wearing, gently wipe the stones and sterling silver with a soft dry cloth. Store separately from other jewellery, preferably in a pouch or jewellery box, to help protect both the stones and the silver setting.
