Gold Sheen Obsidian is one of those materials that reminds me why looking closely matters.

At first, it may appear almost completely black: glossy, dark and quietly mysterious. Then the angle changes, the light reaches the polished surface, and a warm golden glow begins to move through the stone. It may appear as a concentrated flash, a soft sweeping band, a bright metallic shimmer or a broader field of gold that seems to sit beneath the black glass.

These hearts were love at first sight for me. There was something so fitting about shaping a stone that holds hidden light into the form of a heart. Each one carries that beautiful contrast between darkness and brilliance, revealing its glow only when it is turned, noticed and allowed to meet the light.

We have twelve natural Gold Sheen Obsidian hearts, ranging from approximately 4 cm to 6 cm. They were ethically sourced directly from a mine in Mexico and sent to experienced craftspeople for shaping, polishing and finishing. This direct process helps maintain quality, reduces unnecessary handling and allows the natural material to be treated with the care it deserves.
