The Moonlit Shield is a statement necklace with presence, but not heaviness. Thirty-three hand-cut faceted Labradorite stones sit in a graceful, shield-like formation across the collarbone, catching the light in flashes of blue, green, gold and deep stormy grey.

The Story Behind This Piece

When I designed The Moonlit Shield, I was not thinking of armour in the heavy, battle-worn sense. I was thinking of something lighter than that.

Something beautiful enough to be worn, but strong enough to remind you of your own inner guidance. A piece that felt like protection — not from ordinary things, but for the more delicate things we so often silence. Our intuition. Our inner knowing. The little sparks of magic that rise quietly within us and sometimes disappear before we are brave enough to follow them.

Labradorite felt like the only stone this piece could be. It has that extraordinary way of looking deep and shadowed at first, then suddenly revealing flashes of colour when the light moves across it. It does not give everything away immediately. You have to pause. You have to turn it gently. You have to notice.

And perhaps that is why it feels so connected to intuition.

Meaning & Symbolism

Labradorite has long been associated with intuition, transformation, protection and unseen wisdom. In this design, that symbolism feels especially meaningful.

The Moonlit Shield is a piece for protecting the inner light — the part of you that senses before it knows, that feels the truth before it can explain it, that is learning to bring its guidance forward with less fear and more faith.

About the Design

This piece has been designed in-house by Jennifer as part of the Enchantress Designs jewellery collection. Every gemstone is chosen with intent — not simply for colour or shape, but for the feeling, symbolism and story it brings to the finished piece.

A Gentle Note

Each Labradorite stone is individually cut and naturally unique. Variations in colour, flash, depth, internal veils and surface character are part of the beauty of this gemstone. Some stones may show stronger flashes than others depending on the angle and light. This is not a flaw. It is part of Labradorite's quiet magic.

Care Instructions

To care for your Labradorite necklace, avoid dropping or knocking the stones against hard surfaces, as faceted gemstones can chip if treated roughly. Keep away from harsh chemicals, perfumes, hairspray, chlorine and prolonged moisture. After wearing, gently wipe with a soft dry cloth before storing. Store separately from other jewellery to help protect both the stones and the silver setting.
